Houseboat Trafalgar
Cheyne Walk, London, United Kingdon
Completed 2005
This run down, rusting boat was transformed into a light and spacious contemporary living space for Yo! Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe and his daughter. The client and architect worked closely together on the project to create a space that had a modern look, in accord with the client’s brief but still felt like a comfortable home.
The upper deck accommodation consists of a utility room, a guest toilet, study and an open plan kitchen, living and dining room with an outside deck facing across the Thames and Battersea Bridge. The lower deck has four bedrooms – two large bedrooms, the master bedroom towards the front of the boat has an en suite bathroom with views onto the water and two smaller guest bedrooms with built-in storage under the beds.
